Let's do it

CONNECTING WITH ANCESTORS

You may be stressed out, maybe a bit lonely in these strange times, and you may be feeling spiritually disconnected.

Maybe you're a practitioner of Hawaiian Lomilomi Bodywork or a Hula dancer but you donʻt know much about Hawaiian Culture.

You love your work as a lomilomi practitioner, at the same time, you find you lack a good understanding of Hawaiian Spirituality. It sometimes feels like you work just to make money.

Keep reading if:

  • You’re tired of learning spiritual teachings in the newest self-help book
  • You tried to learn Hula and Hawaiian chants from YouTube, but it does not feel right
  • You’ve been learning from someone who isn’t Hawaiian, and you wonder if there’s a better teacher for you.
  • You are not sure if youʻre being respectful to the Hawaiian culture

You are Makaukau (ready) to grow and elevate

It's about the spiritual dimension, if that's out of whack, then everything else is out of whack.

To get into alignment takes work, hana, and practice, and that's why youʻre here.

Imagine you finally have dedicated time to study Hawaiian Chants and Hula from a Kanaka Maoli teacher with a like-minded community full of aloha helping you to serve your clients and loved ones in a deeper way and feel more aloha all the time.

Imagine being able to engage in Hawaiian ceremonies and protocol on the islands of Hawaiʻi, and feel good about it.

You feel happy because you have a living relationship with your ancestors wherever you are.

You’re excited now because you're able to connect with the Hawaiian Islands when you dance Hula — you can even dance a hula (or two).

You have ways to become more familiar with who you are and your (Hawaiian) culture.

Life is feeling easier for you with more aloha so you can handle anything that comes your way.

You feel even more connected with your family and friends.

No matter what happens, you’ll have tools to navigate through your life and bring more balance in your life.

The Beginners’ Course Hawaiian Chants and Hula is a 3-month online membership where we'll go from not knowing anything about the Hawaiian Language and dancing with two left feet, to chanting in Hawaiian during protocol, and express aloha with your hula.

As a result of studying Hula, chants and Hawaiian Teachings with us, you'll:

  • Grasp the spiritual knowledge of our ancestors so that you feel spiritually, mentally, and physically aligned
  • Feeling spiritually connected so that you know youʻre always supported and guided
  • Master the basics of Hula so you can express your aloha and connect with the ancestors
  • Be proficient in basic Hawaiian chants so that you can engage in Hawaiian protocol
  • Live your life on the line of Truth so you can live a life with less stress.

What students say

photo Aranda Eder

"The Beginners’ Course helped me to dive deeper into the original Hawaiian knowledge right from the start.
With the recordings, I can move forward with my Hawaiian studies.
Now I know my voice in a new way, and I learned new movements with my body.
I didn't know before that it is nice to see me dancing HULA, and I liked the comments in FB :)”

Aranda Eder / Hawaiian Bodywork Practitioner, Lomi Lomi Oluea (Switzerland)

"My problem was I didn't know any Oli or Hula off by heart and being remote from Hawaii didn't help. I felt just somewhat disconnected from the Source!
What was different about this membership were the face-to-face weekly meetings, good value for money, professional, friendly, and easily contactable! My only hesitation was the time commitment, at the same time I learned more or less 1 hula and three oli, hopefully, the 4th will click into place
I will say that the Oli and Hula helped me stay strong, centered, more at ease with Aloha than if I hadn't done this, even with a tsunami of events tainting my life at the moment, my wife noticed the difference too and said so several times. I also feel more connected to Hawaii and the essence of it, which will hopefully improve any Lomi Lomi I do.

My advice: Be prepared to do the Hana! And to make new friends."

Mark Loveridge / Hawaiian Bodywork Practitioner,  (Tasmania, AU)

"My life's quality is improving ever since I know you guys. I'm a much happier person than I have been 10 years ago and that is basically because of you, kumu Lawrence, and your teachings. And Kyrian helped too, of course.

As I was reading the description of the class I thought to myself: "yep, check, that's exactly what it does." I can wholeheartedly confirm that all of the points listed came or are coming true in my life through the teachings by Kumu Paʻa Lawrence and Kyrian."

Christine Dietrich / Entdeckungsreisen Ins Leben (Switzerland)

"I like being with Kumu and talking with him/listening to him because it makes the distance irrelevant. Although it makes me want to live next door! It's good but actually I often feel kind of "homesick" for Molokai. I like that the learning is structured and there's a plan - makaukau, but still a learning structure - that makes sense so I can see what is being learned and self-assess progress. I like that it doesn't cost too much, so I can afford to attend, even with the poor exchange rates. I like that it's an International Class and I can be with people from all over the world"

Julia Adams / Hawaiian Bodywork Practitioner, True Nature Manly (Australia)

"Kumu and Kyrian - great knowledge and good instructors with patience. Class members have good mana, cost of class is feasible, google classroom posts/ videos are extremely helpful"

Barbara Dempsey / Hula Instructor, Aloha Allure (California)

"I feel part of an Ohana & the teaching helps me within my life and work as i feel connected to spirit and guided."

Ari Perez / Hawaiian Bodywork Practitioner, Ke Aloha Massage and Bodywork Yungaburra (Australia)

"I like immersing myself in Hawaiian traditions, familiarizing myself with protocol, networking with like-minded friends, keeping in touch with Molokai. I think the way things are currently organized and presented is excellent, I wouldn't change a thing."

Marc Pichard / Retired Translator (Canada)

"I like the flexibility of the schedule, the depth, knowledge and wisdom of Kumu. I like it’s an ongoing process meeting us where we are at."

Alicia Hall / Hawaiian Bodywork Practitioner, Rivers of Light Bodywork (WA, USA)

“Be Mākaukau. Be ready for whatever, whenever. Some of the best things happen, when you least expect it.”
